My name is Peter Knapper and thanks for taking a look at my blog. I have made the decision to get serious about Internet Marketing because I believe it has to be one of the largest areas for potential future business. I suppose you could call me an entrepreneur, as I have worked for myself for thirty years, mostly in jewellery manufacturing.
Over the last few years I turned to buy-to-let property and bought over £1 million of flats and houses all with no money down! The thing that no one really tells you about being a B-T-L landlord, is the stress and grief that tenants can give you, this is not for the faint hearted.
I have made some large amounts of income over the years, but there was always a price to pay. Having premises with expensive leases, employees and all the hassles that go with running a traditional business. So now I am researching everything there is to know about how to make money online and then sharing that information so that people like you can do the same.
Before we get down to the "how to make money online", let's just consider "why" we should use the Internet as our business vehicle.
The way we do business across the world is rapidly changing since the introduction of the Internet and the Web is growing so fast, no one really knows how big it is at any one time.
As the 25Th Anniversary of the World Wide Web arrived this year on March 15Th, there were some estimates produced claiming the level of business on the Net to be worth around $1.5 trillion Dollars. The Internet is projected to become a $4 trillion Dollar industry by the year 2020. In 1995, there were 18 billion look ups for .com in the entire year. Today in 2010 it is estimated that there are 54 billion look ups for .com DAILY! The number of look ups is expected to increase 1000 fold by 2020.
In 1985 the first .com domain was registered and there were only 5 additional domains registered for the rest of that year. In 1995 120,000 .com domains were registered, compared to today where there are some 85 million .com domains registered and obviously growing at a rapid rate!
There is a projected figure of 2.2 billion people online by 2013, but with a figure approaching 2 billion already this seems to be an under estimation.
The DVD as we know it may well become obsolete by 2014 as viewers use "on demand" products and digital downloads.
So what does all this mean for us Internet Entrepreneurs who are looking to change our future and make money online as opposed to the traditional "JOB"? Well I think the figures speak for themselves. If you want to be in the hottest place to make money, then the Web is one place not to be ignored. However, let me tell you right now, there is NO MAGIC FORMULA ! Do not be
mislead by claims of making $1000's over night from scratch. You have to treat this like any other business and invest in some learning material and plenty of research time to get yourself
acquainted with how it all works.
There are a number of different methods you can choose to make money online, so let me introduce you to some of the basic ones.
- Being an Affiliate. This is where you can use a free website such as http://www.clickbank.com/ to find a product in your chosen "niche" and promote that product to get paid a commission. It's all about driving buyers or "traffic" to a product on your website, where once someone makes a purchase you get paid. You don't have anything to do with the product or the customer, how good is that!
- Create & sell your own product. You may well have a hobby or passion you know enough about that you could write your own ebook and sell it on the Web. It could be you have a really great way to loose weight and get fit, or maybe you have some awesome tips on how to play better golf. Get the idea? There is a great system you should take a look at called Digital Information Creator, if this is something you feel is of interest to you.
- Use eBay(R). There are a number of Internet millionaires who have made their fortune just by using eBay(R), one of the largest market places in the world. Again these people have not made their fortune overnight, but started small and through researching all the various ways there are, have set up ongoing income streams. Take a look at this eBay(R) Millionaire System which covers this method.
- Set up your own Blog. Blogging is certainly nothing new, but did you realise you can use your blog to make money online? You can promote either your own products or link to an affiliate offer and the search engines love you adding content to your page. If you can master the art of using blogs they can be incredibly powerful within your Internet business. A really hot Auto Blogger course that's making news is maybe something you could use to help you in this particular area.
- Turn a digital product into a physical product. Now I know this sounds a bit like we're contradicting ourselves, but some people prefer to receive something tangible like a CD or DVD. There are some relatively inexpensive ways to transform your digital information into a physical form and increase the value of the same product. Yes there is more work for you, but if it turns into something on a larger scale you can always outsource the making and shipping of the product!
- PLR (Public Label Rights). This is where you buy the right to resell a product that someone else has made or written. Believe it or not some of these products can be purchased for a matter of a few dollars, but of course some can cost a few thousand. The main benefit here is you haven't had to do all the work and there are thousands of different products you can choose from. These guys claim to be The worlds Largest PLR Reseller, so go check 'em out!
- Create your own subscription site. This is something for you to build up to once you have gained the experience. It is one of the most profitable methods and one that can really bring you automatic and regular income as people pay you a regular monthly amount to subscribe to your site. Of course they won't just pay you for nothing, there has to be some great content and lot's of beneficial reasons for them to part with their money on a regular basis, but if you can get this right you will never look back. Here is a well run site called Online Millionaire University which is a great example of how to run a subscription site.
You will of course need a web hosting company and there are many to choose from. I personally use mattieblazehosting as they have a great all round service especially for affiliate marketers. Another company that I can recommend is hostgator, who again can offer a good all round service.
These are just a few ideas and I've only given you the bare bones of each concept. There are lengthy training modules you can get on each of these that will teach you how to set them up and run them for profit. Remember if you really want to make money online, it's all about research and training!
